Intel Enters the PC Gaming GPU World with ARC in 2022
The company proudly introduces its high-performance graphics brand; Intel Arc, which will debut in the first quarter of 2022. The new consumer graphics brand will cover both the hardware and software side of the graphic cards with the services.
The first Intel Arc based on Xe HPG microarchitecture is code-named Alchemist; it will be available in desktops and notebooks from global partners in the first quarter of 2022. The company also revealed the names of later generations of hardware namely, Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid.

The launch of the Intel Arc brand and the reveal of future hardware generations signifies Intel’s deep and continued commitment to gamers and creators everywhere. We have teams doing incredible work to ensure we deliver first-class and frictionless experiences when these products are available early next year.” says Roger Chandler, the Vice President of Intel.
Intel Arc graphic products are based on Xe HPG microarchitecture, which is a blend of Intel’s Xe LP, HP, and HPC microarchitectures. This convergence will deliver scalability and compute efficiency along with advanced graphic features. Intel’s Arc GPUs will feature hardware-based ray tracing and artificial intelligence-driven supersampling. It will offer full support for DirectX 12 Ultimate.
