Hurray, Pokémon Go is turning 5!!
Pokémon Go is turning 5 on the 6th of July. What an incredible journey it was!! Back in 2016, when Pokémon Go was launched, it became a worldwide sensation overnight. In the last five years, it is still the most popular game and managed to earn a reasonable profit for the developer company Niantic, Inc. Previously, the game was all about exploring the world and catching Pokémon. Now the world of Pokémon has expanded and it is much more than that, though the core of the game remains the same. The following list shows some interesting features of the game from each year.
1. 2016: Buddy Pokémon
2. 2017: Raid Battles, AR+
4. 2019: GO Snapshot, Team GO Rocket, Buddy Adventure
5. 2020: The GO Battle League, Today View, Remote Raids, Team GO Rocket balloons, the first-ever global Pokémon GO Fest experience, Mega Evolution, GO Beyond Level 40, Seasons, and more
6. 2021: Collection Challenges, Referrals, Together We Raid, real-time sky mechanic, expanded Pokédex classifications
To make the fifth anniversary of Pokémon Go memorable, an event will be held on Tuesday, 6th July 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, July 15th, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Fans can join in the celebration to get a chance to catch shiny Darumaka and a special Flying Pikachu with a 5-shaped balloon. The starter Pokémon, from Generations 1 through 6, will also be making appearances. For more details on the event, you can visit the following link.
