“Black Panther” Star Chadwick Boseman Died of Cancer at the Age of 42
Chadwick Aaron Boseman, a renowned American actor, and producer died at the age of 42. He was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and lost the battle after four years. He died on Friday night in Los Angeles in his home with his wife and family by his side. His death was confirmed from his twitter account.

He was a true fighter and worked persistently in the filming of several movies despite having lots of surgeries and chemotherapy sessions. Marshall, Da 5 Bloods, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom are some of the movies that were filmed during and between his treatment.
He appeared in his first starring role in the 2013 film 42 where he played the role of baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson. In the same year, he starred as James Brown in Get on Up. In 2016 he worked as Thoth in Gods of Egypt. Boseman made his first Debut in 2016 in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, this was followed by his lead role in Black Panther that was the highest-grossing film of the year in the United States. He reprised the role in both Avenger: Infinity War and Avenger: End Game. His work also includes 21 Brigades that was an American thriller. He was also cast in Netflix war drama film Da 5 Blood which was released in June 2020.
Boseman’s cancer diagnosis was not made public; therefore, the news of his demise came as a shock for his fans and colleagues. Several fans, celebrities, and fellow actors showed their love and grief through social media posts and tweets.
“We are all heartbroken by the tragic loss of Chadwick Boseman—an extraordinary talent, and one of the most gentle and giving souls I have ever met,” Robert A. Iger, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board, The Walt Disney Company said in a statement. “He brought enormous strength, dignity, and depth to his groundbreaking role of Black Panther; shattering myths and stereotypes, becoming a long-awaited hero to millions around the world, and inspiring us all to dream bigger and demand more than the status quo. We mourn all that he was, as well as everything he was destined to become. For his friends and millions of fans, his absence from the screen is only eclipsed by his absence from our lives. All of us at Disney send our prayers and heartfelt condolences to his family.”

Chadwick was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, per reports. During that time, he gave us Civil War, Marshall, Black Panther, Infinity War, Endgame, 21 Bridges and Da 5 Bloods. Lord only knows what he was going through on a daily basis.
